Sound Walk

So typically it takes me two hours to get to school and I am always offered an abundance of sound, from juicy conversations to honking horns due to traffic. On this particular day I heard the best the conversation ever! On the N6 which is the bus I take from Long Island to Queens, this woman was extremely upset with her soon to be ex husband...
This woman was on the phone with her soon to be ex husband, whom apparently shut down access to their joint banking account. Although I was I was sad for her I soon realized why this guy took off. The woman cursed her ex out to the highest of heavens. Rightfully so, she was upset but then she bought up his love below and compared him to the new man she was dating. After the giggles of the other passengers all I could hear in the background was " stop requested". The dreaded phrase that I loathe to hear and all that means is longer arrival time to class.
Now on to the ever so punctual F train , I hear the conductor tell the passengers about the delay ahead. My fellow passengers are thrilled by the news, which I can tell by the quite curse words and sighs throughout the train car. Ding Dong, is what I hear as the doors close. Ding Dong as I hear again because riders do not realize their backpack is in the doorway. Ah yes! I am late for class and my favorite homeless man attempting to ask me for money. "HEY CUTIE! YOU HAVE ANY COINS FOR ME!" Nope! Listening to all of these sounds and conversations I do not get any warm and fuzzys however it does make me miss the silence of the suburbs in Maryland.
